Quotes
Very Grateful for Our Partners
“All things are difficult before they are easy.” ~ Thomas Fuller
“Progress never rolls in on the wheels of inevitability” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
“Genius is the ability to put into effect what is in your mind.” ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald
These are some quotes that have guided Empowering Voices for close to a decade. The notion that success is a result of design and purpose, it is a learned behavior (and one that can be taught and practiced). The belief that through powerful learning, successful results can be achieved. The knowledge that learning matters, but a little inspiration is a vital ingredient. We’ve dedicated our lives to providing those key ingredients to build better presenters, communicators and leaders all across the globe.
Those are some my favorite quotes. But we are, of course, very grateful for some of yours as well!
Wally Krause—Sr. Capability Consultant - Integrated Technology Solutions, CDW
One of the greatest risks in working with outside contractors is the lack of connection to the client’s business. From my experience, outside contractors do bring new perspectives; however, their ‘off the shelf’ approach does not always integrate well into their client’s business culture. No connection, no impact.
In over 40 years of business, I can name the few partners that I have worked with that truly helped connect outside resources to drive internal business objectives. Chris Scheeren is one of those true partners I considered a member of my internal team.
Chris helped to marry outside and inside perspectives to initiate critical behavioral change. Our audiences generated an extraordinary 99-100% referral rate to their fellow coworkers. Change is risky business decision. Chris makes change fun. He brings energy and enthusiasm to change. He brings flexibility and understanding to skeptical audiences and guides them along a path of success.

At the end of the day, the feedback I got from our participants (recruits and current employees alike) was very positive. They all enjoyed the time they spent in the work-shop, and EVERY one I spoke with recommended bringing Chris back again next year.

I wish I could have had this opportunity and taken this course when I first started working here. Most courses I attend my goal is to walk out with a new idea. However I walked away from this course with numerous ideas that I can apply to both my career and my personal life.
Lauren S.—Manufacturing Lead – Milliken
The Milliken Specialty Fabrics finance group was extremely pleased with the quality of Chris’ presentation skills and energetic style. The group stayed very engaged for the entire training course, and each participant gave Chris the highest ratings on the facilitation questions. I received very positive feedback from the group as to how much knowledge they took away from the training as well as how much fun it was. It would be a pleasure to work with Chris again at Milliken and we would welcome him back!
